Medical Career Guidance 2009-2010

Medical Careers Guidance (MCG) presents the accessible future career paths and opportunities for fresh medical graduates and bachelor students to build a good career vision with respect to their different capabilities. The event will last 2 days in mid February 2010 & is expected to attract approximately 2000 fresh graduate attendees from all around the country. Andalusia will be participating as the major sponsor of the event along with other sponsors from the healthcare sector. We found this event as an opportunity to socialize with different participants of the healthcare sector in Egypt; as the event will include faculties, pharmaceutical companies & insurance companies as well.

Private Equity MENA 2009



This conference is, without a doubt the region's Number one Private Equity meeting place for MENA investors, family businesses, co-investors, GPs and LPs.

Investors from all over the world meet here each November to network, meet and forge business relationships with the best fund managers and VC firms in the world. The conference will be held in Dubai between the 22nd and the 25th of November 2009. Andalusia CEO Dr. Hazem Zagzoug will deliver a speech in the Conference about Healthcare Investment Prescription in addition the group will participate in the exhibition.

11th International Scientific Nursing Conference

Under the supervision of the faculty of Nursing, Alexandria University, Andalusia participated in the 11th International Scientific Nursing Conference that was held between the 13th and the 15th of October 2009. Dr. Ashraf Derbala – Director of ASH Operation - delivered a speech about ASH services provided & the technologies used in our hospitals. Additionally Dr. Nagwa Salem – Nursing Consultant in Andalusia Group – delivered a speech about the techniques & technologies used to provide the best medical service in Alexandria. Furthermore some of our subsidiaries were present in the event for marketing campaigns such as, Andalusia Careers (HR company) & Andalusia Healthcare Business Solutions (Software company).

Launching Knowledge Management Unit

The concept of knowledge management has been recently introduced to our group. In essence, knowledge management is getting the right information to the right people at the right time, and helping them create and share knowledge and act upon it in ways that will measurably improve the performance of the company and its partners. Knowledge management aims at developing, implementing and monitoring the policies and procedures throughout the different business units to ensure compliance to internationally adopted industry standards while keeping in mind the customization of these standards to fit the environments in which our business units operate. Business process improvement and reengineering falls in the scope of knowledge management. It is employed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes in different business units, to enable the organization to achieve its mission and vision and create customer value in the most efficient manner.

Andalusia Soft Implementation

The first product for AHBS is Andalusia soft, an HMIS that will provide state-of-the-art software solutions for healthcare organizations of different sizes and different needs that will ensure the automation of processes in hospitals, clinics & imaging centers ultimately leading to clinical transformation and financial improvement. Andalusia soft finally came into reality & implementation in Andalusia Hospitals, after a year & half of great effort in analysis & development of all its back office & front office modules related to healthcare management.

Le Chateau Dental Center opening

As a result of the increasing demand for the dental operation specialty in the Saudi market, Andalusia decided to expand its dental operation & launch Le Chateau Dental Center in Jeddah. Located in Al Tahleya area, one of the most luxurious areas in Jeddah, Le Chateau will be able to provide all dental services to the A class customers in the area. Le Chateau is expected to be operating before the end of November 2009 with a total capacity of 10 clinics utilizing the highest technologies present in the dental field.

ASH Cath Lab Launch

A new Cath. lab. Unit has recently been launched at Al Salama Hospital (ASH).The unit is equipped with the latest equipments for diagnosing and treating cardiac diseases through the scanning of coronary arteries, main and peripheral blood vessels, intra aortic ballooning and insertion of therapeutic stents. Our excellence is based upon the availability of the integrated care for cardiac patients starting from ambulances that are available 24 /7 appropriately equipped for the care of cardiac patients, passing through the ER & patient preparation for the Cath lab procedures, and ending with our distinctive ICU that is well equipped with the most up to date medical technologies. This is all conducted under supervision of a highly reputable professional staff.

Granada Project

“Granada” is a new role added to Andalusia’s unique participation in the healthcare sector in the Middle Eastern area. Andalusia as a leading company in the healthcare sector in the middle east aimed to provide the healthcare sector with better investors & better insight to improve & develop healthcare services. The Granada Project will depend on building an adequate number of “Strategic Healthcare Networks” managed by Andalusia & owned by investors interested in the healthcare sector. The different SHN units will aim to build a complete service spectrum for patients and physicians, who will be able to enjoy the seamlessness of the services between the clinics, the diagnostic facilities, and hospitals. The integration between the different units is key to ensure that the SHN is going to provide the expected return to all stakeholders.

HJH New outpatient Clinics

Being one of the largest & most famous hospitals in the area of south Jeddah, Hai Al Jamea Hospital expanded its outpatient clinics capacity with almost 25 new clinics in different specialties. Furthermore, Hai Al Jamea hospital added new services in specialties that weren’t previously provided; such as Oncology, Neurosurgery & Andrology.. The new outpatient clinics also include a separate Diabetes clinic and new dental clinics operating with the highest qualified dentists in all dental operation subspecialties. Hai Al Jamea hospital is expecting more expansions in the upcoming period to be able to cover all the medical requirements of the south Jeddah region.
